What are the benefits?

There are lots of great benefits of being part of the Fringe Family of venues. These benefits include a minimum of 12 posts per year on the Fringe social media. However, we tend to post more than this for each venue. Your venue gets listed on our website year round and each of our venues gets a listing in our printed programme. More you ask? You also get discounts on Southside Fringe advertising opportunities. Even more you say? You get to join in on the fun in May alongside a number of Southside venues, event organisers, performers and the Fringe Family! Come join us for some Southside fun this May! You can find out more about the benefits of becoming a Southside Fringe venue here.

Did you know that we took home the Best Scottish Festival award at the Scottish Hospitality Awards in 2017 and cam Highly Commended in 2018! In 2016 and 2017, with the support of local MP Stewart McDonald, we were commended in Westminster with an additional third mention in 2017 for the partnership production the festival coordinated with Baldy Bane Theatre Company, St. Albert’s Primary School and the Tramway, working with Syrian families and exploring what it means to call home.

In 2018, we became a Community Interest Company which enabled us to dedicate more time to the Southside Fringe Festival and also develop and work on exciting new projects! You can find out more about our year-round venue space here. Keep your eyes peeled for lots more exciting announcements coming your way soon! The team can’t wait to see what Southside treasures 2020 will reveal!

Registration Fees & Early Bird Offer

Venue Registrations are now open for 2020. The venue registration fees have been frozen since 2014 and if you’re an early bird and register before the 30th of November you will be able to take advantage of these prices. Fees can be found here. So what are you waiting for? Sign up NOW!

Registration Fee Increase

As of the 1st of December, we will be increasing our registration prices for the first time in 5 years. We love that some venues, such as cafes and shops, would like to be part of the Southside Fringe Festival and be part of the community investment but perhaps don’t have the capacity to host many people or events. So we have also kept the third registration tier that was introduced in 2017 to make it a more affordable option for registering your venue. You can find all the registration fees here. Only events held in registered Fringe venues can be included in the 2020 programme listings. We distribute between 10,000 and 20,000 programme each year on the Southside and also Citywide to promote the vibrant Southside community and the creative industries. Registering you venue early will ensure that your venue is listed on the event registration forms when they are launched. If you need any more information then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at info@southsidefringe.org.uk

There’s lots happening through the Southside during the last couple of months of the year so be sure to keep an eye on the Southside Fringe social media to stay up to date!
