Lockdown Weekend: Online Events
With the weekend on the horizon, we thought that we would pull together a wee list of awesome online events that are taking place this weekend. We need something to fill our time so participating in the arts definitely ticks our box!
You won’t be disappointed with the lineup below. One of the things that we love about online events is that it doesn’t matter where you are or whether you still have your jammies on you can still have an awesome night! It’s also awesome that wherever you are you can enjoy events from all over the world.
Friday 17th April
Now That’s What I Call the 90’s: The Quiz
5pm - 6pm
Online pub “The Stayin’ Inn” are hosting a 90’s quiz this Friday evening! This one is a test to see how well you actually know the 90’s! Questions range from N*Sync to The Goonies to football! We couldn’t think of a better way kick off our weekend! (Not that we are 90’s buffs though!)
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera - Live Stream
7pm
For only 24 hours, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 25th Anniversary production of The Phantom of the Opera will be streamed on YouTube. This production was filmed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 and features Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine.
Self Isolation Sessions: Becci Wallace
8pm - 9pm

Self Isolation Sessions aim to support professional musicians who have been affected by coronavirus with to
urs, albums and festivals being cancelled. This Friday evening the incredibly talented Becci Wallace will be taking to the live stream with some new tunes and some old.
They have lots more happening this weekend including their usual daily music quiz - Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Saturday live stream Biff Smith from A New International, Jukebox hour and on Sunday there is a a chilled afternoon hour. Find out more on their Facebook page.

Spot Design Market
10am - Midnight
Spot Design Market can’t take place this Saturday so they are moving it online. We are super excited! There are makers from past and present markets that will be taking part in this one. There will also be a prize draw, a whole day of awesome instagram live videos, DJ, and lots of wonderful items from local makers. There will be something for everyone from clothing to prints and jewellery to food & drink. The online shop closes at midnight on Saturday.
The 7.A.S.E Online Music & Arts Festival
Saturday and Sunday All Day
Facebook Event | Facebook Group
The 7 Arts Still Exist in a Facebook group to showcase the talents of writers, artists, musicians, filmmakers and more. This weekend they are showcasing 36 musicians with 18 hours of live music over 2 days. There's everything from covers, originals, rock, folk, pop from solo artists and bands. There are also 26 wonderful artists taking place in an arts exhibition this weekend too. From sculptors, illustrators, performers and more. You can check the lineup on the Facebook event or here.

Sunday Brunch Cook-A-Long With Cafe Strangebrew
11am - 11:30am
Cafe Strange Brew is going live on The Glasgow Pantry this Sunday morning doing a live cook-a-long! Cafe Strange Brew serves up some of the best brunch in Glasgow and we are super excited that are doing a live video this Sunday. Go check it out and we can’t wait to see everyones brunch this Sunday!
